Children
Children’s activities during the Sunday service
We have teaching for children every Sunday morning, during the Parish Eucharist, except when there is a family service.
We take children from 3 years old. The children start off in church and stay until after the first hymn. We come back into church for the communion and blessing and the children then have an opportunity to show their work to the rest of the congregation before the end of the service.
We generally use material from Roots, which follows the Bible Readings for the relevant week.
Chatterbox
Chatterbox meets every Friday in the church at 10.30am for 15 or 20 minutes of songs, stories and actions. We have cuddly toys which are always hiding and a couple of songs which we sing every week. The vicar usually takes the sessions, which have a Christian element. Chatterbox children have planted bulbs, blown bubbles and seen some lovely things that God has created.
Chatterbox takes place during the toddler session so play and fellowship extends in the Church Hall until 11.30am.
